Optimal communication between the photographer and the couple is a must. As photographers who have shot all types of events, we’ve found that the most successful events always have seamless communication between the couple and the photographer.

The best way to kick this off is with an in-person meeting. Please don’t try to get to know your photographer by emailing, texting, or the phone—it’s best to actually sit down face-to-face. We understand that couples may not be located near us, in which case we prefer Skyping or Facetiming.

You may be wondering why this meeting is important. Photography is creative, psychological and very intimate. It’s all about building trust and getting to know someone. We find that this initial meeting helps with both!
